I first went to TransMasters about 4 years ago with a 1995 Ford Windstar with 137K, totally gone reverse gear. Sam informed me that this transmission model was only used in select Ford models and was known for problems after 100K miles. I had them install the new transmission and drove it until it DIED at 350K (NOT A TRANNY PROBLEM!) During this time I sent a friend with a PT Cruiser that had been into the DEALER 6 time in 4 years for tranmission problem without being fixed. Sam worked with this neighbor since she didn't have alot of money, and fixed her car right the FIRST time! This PT Cruiser has now traveled for San Diego to Boston 2 time without and problems. Recently I picked up a 1998 Windstar that (CLUNKED) from 1st to 2nd. Taking to to TRANSMASTERS Sam said that it needed to be opened up and looked at to figure out what the problem is. Well the presure disc was leaking and stripped out the gears, total rebuild. OK lets do it and 7 day later I got it back running fantastic. Yesterday my check engine light came on and the trans seamed sluggish, took it into Sam this morning. Said the CODE was O2 sensor not transmission, but instead of just leaving it at that and saving WE CAN CHARGE YOU for whatever, HE SAID I WILL HAVE MY TECH TAKE A LOOK AT IT for FREE!!!!!! Come to find out a hose to the EGR was loose, easy fix and the check engine light is off. I don't know what else anyone would look for in a TRANMISSION shop. They have treated me right, and I will send everyone I can there.

We brought our car to Sam's store about 2 years ago. This is A place you can trust. They are very honest, competent, and friendly. We will not go anywhere else. Sam can also take care of other automobile issues besides transmission matter.

Nice to set an appointment. Relatively quick work and service with a smile. So far, everything is working well! I have confidence it will continue to.

I have been taking my van and car to Transmaster for over 5 years. The manager Sam is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain any diagnosed problem and the various options. During my recent visit they did a part replacement which was about $125 cheaper than what another shop had quoted. Another positive about this place is that Sam doesn't try to push any repair or part replacement, unless it is an absolute safety concern. He discusses the inspection findings with you and notes it in his computer system and monitors those during subsequent visits. To summarize 5 Star Service that is hard to beat.
